For the use of Bush Kennels Ltd services.
Please note that the terms and conditions below govern the use of our services for your pets at Bush Kennels. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All dogs are boarded, day-cared or groomed at Bush Kennels at the owner's risk.
Our terms and conditions are subject to change at any time and without notice. It is your responsibility to review them periodically to ensure you are aware of any changes. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of them.
On arrival you will fill out a registration form on a first visit, or check details for updates on return visits. Details taken include:
We provide a chicken/beef and vegetable kibble for all boarded dogs, included in the boarding fees. If you prefer to supply your own food, please ensure you provide enough to last the entire stay. While we offer bedding, you may choose to bring your own at your own risk. You may also bring toys, but any damage or loss is at your own risk.
To ensure the safety of all dogs, they remain on a lead during walks. Walks last 20–40 minutes per day according to each dog's needs. We walk each kennel of dogs individually and request that your dog wears a collar with an identity tag attached. We typically do not remove collars during your dog's stay, but will do so upon request.
While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your dog, their stay is accepted solely at your own risk. We cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to your property, possessions or vehicles while on, or en route to, our premises.
Dogs from different households may be boarded together only with the written consent of both owners. Dogs from the same household may share a kennel, but this is also at your own risk. We reserve the right to separate dogs in the same kennel if necessary for their safety, and you will be charged accordingly.
You are responsible for any harm caused by your dog while in the care of Bush Kennels, and you shall indemnify Bush Kennels against any claims made against it, or losses or damages suffered by Bush Kennels, as a result of your dog. You will be held liable for any damage caused to Bush Kennels' property or premises by your pet during their stay, and may be charged for any repairs or replacements needed as a result.
For the safety of all dogs, please keep your dog on a lead and under control while on the premises and when travelling between your vehicle and the office. A staff member will collect your dog at the office and take them to the kennels. When collecting your dog, please wait at the office until a staff member brings them to you. We cannot be held responsible if you take your own dog to or from the kennels.
To ensure the health and safety of all dogs, we require that all boarded dogs be vaccinated against Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis and Leptospirosis. We are unable to accept dogs for boarding without an up-to-date vaccination certificate or a letter from your vet.
While the kennel cough vaccine is not mandatory, if your dog has received it, it must be given at least 2 weeks before boarding. Please note the kennel cough vaccine does not provide 100% protection and you assume full responsibility for this; we will not be held liable if your dog contracts kennel cough. Additionally, please ensure your dog is up to date with flea and worm treatment.
You warrant that your dog is fit, healthy and sound for boarding. Please declare any existing or previous health conditions and vices prior to their stay. We reserve the right to refuse boarding for dogs we deem unfit for any reason. If veterinary treatment is required during boarding, we will carry it out at our discretion. We cannot accept liability for any problems, old or new, such as stress or ill health, during your dog's visit.
If your dog requires medication, we will administer it provided they accept it without resistance. Please provide full instructions. Specialist care is given at our discretion, and you must provide full instructions and medical history.
In the event that your dog appears to be ill or at significant risk of a medical problem, we will attempt to contact you for instructions before seeking veterinary care. If you cannot be reached, we will use our reasonable discretion to seek veterinary care on your behalf, and you will be responsible for all related expenses.
You agree that we may use the vet of our choice if your preferred vet is unavailable, and that we will not be liable for the actions and decisions of the vet. You also agree to be responsible for any reasonable fees assessed by us for emergency care and transportation.
You authorise your vet to share your dog's medical records with us and with other vets. You assume full responsibility for payment of all veterinary services rendered, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, necessary grooming, medical supplies, transportation and boarding, and agree to make such payments directly to the attending vet.
You authorise the rehousing, sale or disposal of your dog in the most appropriate way possible should you fail to collect within 10 days of the end of the boarding period. Every effort will be made to come to a reasonable arrangement before taking this action as a last resort.
We are open for telephone and online enquiries from 9am to 6pm. Pick-ups and drop-offs are strictly at either 10am or 5pm; other times can be arranged by prior notice and cost £10 extra. Viewings are by prior appointment only and are available any morning at 10.30am — please contact us for an appointment.
You agree to pay the rates in effect at the time your dog is at Bush Kennels, and to pay them at the time of collection. Days booked are the days charged, and any extra days will be charged at the full daily rate.
If you are unable to collect your dog in person, your representative must bring proof of identity and be in a position to make full payment before your dog is handed over. Please notify us in advance if a representative will be collecting your dog.
NB: You pay for the day of arrival and the day of departure; the 10am and 5pm times are offered for your convenience. Grooming rates are listed on the Grooming page.
Payment is accepted by cash, card or bank transfer to Bush Kennels Ltd, sort code 82-61-00, account number 20023369. Payment must be made before the handover of your dog. We reserve the right to retain your dog at Bush Kennels until full payment is received. Any extra days incurred are chargeable at the normal rate.
The welfare of your dog during their stay is our main concern, but we must also consider the safety of our staff. Should your animal behave aggressively towards our staff at a level we consider unreasonable, we will contact you to arrange the immediate collection of your dog. This procedure ensures the safety of staff, visitors, your dog and other boarders.
Unless specifically requested, your dog will not be groomed during their boarding or day care stay. If you would like your dog groomed during their stay, please let us know; an additional charge applies as per the rates listed on the Grooming page.
You understand that photographs, videos or digital recordings are taken of the facility, dogs, customers and staff on a regular basis for, among other things, use in health and safety, security and advertising by Bush Kennels.
